We are working with local, award-winning landscape architects and naturalists to showcase the beautiful vistas and natural surroundings. As part of the landscape restoration, White Oak Savanna has uncovered a pre-civil war oak savannah prairie that we have coined the “Savannah Sanctuary” — a magical space with a natural canopy under which couples can share their vows with family and friends. In addition to the Savannah Sanctuary, White Oak Savanna has many other enchanting spaces and options for your ceremony.
After your ceremony, guests can gather in our cocktail reception space located on the lawn next to the Lloyd Jones Barn Pavillion. The space will have highboy tables, cocktail tables and rustic vintage chairs — built by local craftsmen from oak and other trees that have naturally fallen and been milled and cured on site.
For the outdoor areas, tenting will be available.
Next, move on to a meal in the Lloyd Jones Barn Pavillion under beautiful beamed ceilings, rustic chandeliers and ceiling fans. Large rolling barn doors will be open to the gentle breezes of fresh, country air. Music and dancing will be available in the Lloyd Jones Barn Pavilion or outside under the stars.
White Oak Savanna is establishing relationships with local chefs and caterers, with the one you choose preparing and serving mouth-watering meals, as well as craft beers and specialty cocktails and wines. You can work with our specialists to create a personalized menu, drawing upon the best foods and drinks of the season.
The wedding couple, family and attendants will have exclusive use of well-appointed changing rooms. The happy couple will be welcome to stay at the Honeymoon bungalow, located in a secluded area on the grounds. The rustic farmhouse will also be available for select guests.
White Oak Savanna will work with the wedding couple’s designers, or those from our preferred provider list, to create the perfect atmosphere for an enchanting and festive ceremony and party. These services will include all aspects of the wedding and party, and will include favors and special reminders of the day and night.
